Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (Podiatry, New Castle)

UPMC Department of Podiatry is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse, OP to join their team in New Castle and Hermitage, PA. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with the hours of 8am to 4:30pm. The two offices the LPN will cover are located at:

875 North Hermitage Road and 2008 West State Street

Sign On Bonus may be available.

Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

+ Draw blood.
+ Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
+ Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
+ Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
+ Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
+ Comply with all policies and procedures.
+ Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
