Lifting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all lifting operations on site.
• Prepare, review, and implement lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA).
• Ensure all lifting activities comply with DOSH, CIDB, OSHA 1994, and relevant Malaysian regulations.
• Verify that cranes, lifting appliances, and lifting gears are certified, inspected, and fit for use.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and pre-lift briefings with crane operators, riggers, and signalmen.
• Ensure all personnel involved in lifting works are competent, trained, and properly certified.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure correct rigging, signaling, and load handling procedures.
• Stop unsafe lifting operations immediately and report incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Safety Officer, Engineers, and subcontractors on lifting activities.
