Line Cook

Purpose / Position Summary

· The Kitchen Helper/Linecook is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition

Operational Responsibilities:

· Assist with food preparation, cooking, meal service as assigned

· Assist with preparation for and distribution of daily snacks as assigned

· Clean all food handling, food storage areas, and dish room

· Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers

· Remove all garbage and recycling and from kitchen, sterilizing room, food storage area

· Maintain service stations, in a clean dry condition at all times

· Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas

· Be familiar with the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carry them out as rotated

· Keep high standards of cleanliness on section where employed
