A defence technology organisation is seeking a Linux Platforms Engineer to take ownership of Linux-based systems across its infrastructure and product ecosystem. This role sits within the Platforms function and focuses on the operating-system layer that underpins critical applications, edge devices, and command-and-control platforms.
The position is deeply hands-on and systems-focused, responsible for how Linux is built, secured, deployed, observed, and maintained at scale. The successful candidate will define standards, drive automation, and act as the escalation point for complex OS-level issues, while working closely with security, embedded, and product engineering teams.
