Living Systems Laboratory Technician

SUMMARY

The Living Systems Laboratory Technician is responsible for day to day laboratory operations that support public exhibits and programs in the Living Systems area of the Exploratorium. The laboratory technician will have a primary role in maintaining live organisms, daily set-up of exhibits, and lab maintenance .  The lab tech will assist in organizing lab records, maintaining equipment and lab facility, repairing equipment and exhibits, and researching various technical or biological solutions to problems.  An interest in natural phenomena and an ability to collaborate in a team environment are crucial aspects of the position. Applicants must be able to work weekend days. This position reports to the Living Systems Facility Manager.
