Locum Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthetist

This is a 10‑day locum appointment for a Consultant Anaesthetist with a special interest in Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia, available as soon as possible for a period of six months. The role is based at Leeds Children’s Hospital (LGI site) within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, a large quaternary referral centre in Northeast England that offers a full range of surgical and diagnostic specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia for children undergoing cardiac surgery and diagnostic procedures such as cardiac catheterisation and MRI.


• Supervise patients following anaesthesia and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.


• Deliver a comprehensive anaesthetic service in collaboration with other consultant colleagues in the Trust.
