Introduction

To efficiently manage the collection of recyclables from suppliers, manage the maintenance of collection fleet and equipment, ensure services levels are achieved by the collection department and manage risk related to the collection of material.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collection efficiencies

• Monitor vehicle refuelling daily.
• Fuel reconciliation daily and weekly.
• Optimal route scheduling per vehicle.
• Completing bin utilization register daily to monitor volumes.
• Daily update of vehicle input sheet and monitoring the cage volumes collected.
• Escalate to procurement department below payload collections.
• Liaising during the day to check progress on collections according to SOP.
• Monitor collections throughout the day with an aid of a tracking system.
• Ensure that route sheets are completed daily and that vehicles are utilised economically.
