Looking for long-term child care for a 5-year-old in Dublin

We are seeking a reliable, patient caregiver for our 5-year-old who will help with after-school care, light snack preparation, reading time, and engaging activities. The position is for a long-term arrangement with regular weekday afternoons and occasional evenings. We value a calm and energetic approach, experience with early childhood education, and references. The host family has one friendly small dog, so comfort with pets is a plus. We’d prefer someone who can start mid-September and commit at least 6 months, ideally longer. Please include your rates, availability, and whether you can provide Garda vetting or equivalent safeguarding checks from Ireland.
