JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will report directly to the Health Director and will work closely with the Nurse-in-Charge/Registered Nurse on site. The Licensed Practical Nurse will adhere to and follow the Whitefish Lake First Nation #128 Employee and Financial Policy.
The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers basic nursing care, monitors patient health, assists with daily living activities, and maintains accurate medical documentation. The role supports patient safety, comfort and wellbeing. Promoting safety, comfort, ensuring that medication administration, wound care, chronic disease management, vital‑sign monitoring, and patient education is delivered to Whitefish Lake First Nation #128 members to ensure optimal health outcomes.
DUTIES:
Provide nursing care to clients in their homes using the care plan prepared by the registered nurse (RN) or Nurse‑in‑Charge.
Provide one‑to‑one teaching to clients/families/caregivers.
