Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Operate lapping and grinding machines according to process specifications.
Set up parts & fixtures correctly
Monitor thickness, flatness, and surface quality during processing
Perform in-process and final inspections using measuring tools.
Handle silicon/optical parts carefully to prevent damage or contamination
Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety and quality procedures
Record process data and report any abnormalities
Education & Experience
Associate degree in manufacturing, machining, engineering technology, or a related field
Basic knowledge of machine operation and use of measuring tools
Skills
Basic machine operation and willingness to learn lapping/grinding processes
Ability to follow work instructions, SOPs, and safety rules
Basic understanding of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges)
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
