Machinist

A. Job Description:

• Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic machines (lathe, milling, cutting, drilling, shaping, etc.) to produce or modify parts.
• Fabricate custom parts, bushings, flanges, gaskets, seals, and other components according to order specifications.
• Conduct fitting, alignment, and finishing of fabricated items to meet tolerance and finish standards.
• Verify dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Inspect workpieces visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with drawings or samples.
• Maintain proper records of fabrication orders, materials used, and completion time.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and free from hazards
• Follow Simplex's production queue system for prioritizing jobs.
