About the Role

This role focuses on
designing, configuring, securing, and supporting z/OS mainframe network infrastructure
. You'll work closely with systems, application, and operations teams to ensure reliable and secure host communications across the enterprise.

The position is part of a
24x7 support rota
and requires hands-on expertise in
VTAM, TCP/IP, OSA, Enterprise Extender, and z/OS Communication Server
.

Key Responsibilities

• Support IBM mainframe
  network and transmission products
  in a complex z/OS environment
• Participate in
  24x7 on-call / support rota
• Perform
  TCP/IP port reserves
  (additions, deletions, changes)
• Perform
  VTAM updates
  (PU/LU definitions, EE updates)
• Configure and manage
  OSA-Express adapters
