Maintenance Lagger/Insulator

Summary:

Performs lagging, coating, and insulation work related to the construction and operation of chemical processing. Covers a wide range of plant piping, tankage, buildings, and equipment.

This is a Union non-exempt position. The starting pay rate is $

Responsibilities Include:

  • Repair andmaintainsteam and electrical pip tracing.

  • Apply/remove insulating materials such as calcium silicate, fiberglass, andaerotuberubber on pipes, vessels, and tanks using techniques such as wiring insulating materials around steam, hot water piping, and refrigeration.

  • Fabricate detachable insulation for valves or similar fittings. Wire detachable covers on valves or fittings using hand tools.

  • Install fiberglass on ventilating systems to deaden sound.
