**UW Facilities Maintenance & Construction has an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic I.**

**Work Schedule**

+ Full time, Monday through Friday, 6:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.

+ This position is based at the Health Science Building on the Seattle campus and is not eligible for telework.

**About this opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor II, the Maintenance Mechanic 1 (MM1) performs entry-level maintenance support work across University facilities. The MM1 assists journey-level trades personnel with preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and renovations, including routine HVAC support such as changing air filters. This position operates tools, equipment, and University vehicles, assists with material handling and worksite cleanup, and supports the safe, efficient operation of campus buildings while maintaining high standards of safety, teamwork, and customer service.
