DESCRIPTION:

The Maintenance Mechanic will use best maintenance practices to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency at maximum levels. Duties are usually performed during day shift, but this position requires responsibility for a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week operation, and scheduled “on-call” status as required.

Callouts, overtime, Saturday, Sunday, holiday, and nightshift hours will be required as conditions demand. Day shift is not guaranteed, as rotating shifts are always a possibility in a continuous operating plant.

Responsibilities:

·Perform routine, scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repairs to all plant equipment.

·Utilize manuals, blueprints, parts catalogs, vendors, technical experts, and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to properly maintain equipment, and diagnose equipment malfunctions
