Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Summary This position of Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor is located in the Utilities Systems Section of the Facilities Management Service at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven Campus. Responsibilities Major Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: Plans, directs, lays out, assigns, coordinates, and supervises work performed by WG-10 Pipefitters and WG-09 Plumbers. This includes having extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment, in-depth knowledge of construction procedures and how to apply this knowledge in the alterations of buildings and installation of Plumbing Systems, Medical Gas and Vacuum Systems, Steam and Condensate Systems (0 - 110 psi), Domestic Water, Sewer Systems, and Mechanical Equipment. Also, a good knowledge of maintenance and repair performance, by a journeyman mechanic. System types shall include industrial, commercial, medical, and residential.
