Maintenance Technician

FPT is a wholly-owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs and has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at one of our Detroit, MI locations. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery and production equipment.


Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Ensure adherence to safety standards including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), remove hazards as identified, and maintain cleanliness of the site.
+ Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate malfunctions.
+ Change hose assemblies and conveyor belts.
+ Remove and replace worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
