Accounting Manager – Manufacturing (Tamco)

Location: Smiths Falls, Ontario (On‑Site)

Job Details

Reporting to the Controller (based in South Africa), you will take day‑to‑day ownership of the plant finance function. This hands‑on leadership role has two direct reports (AP and AR) and significant involvement in inventory, cost accounting, and SAP process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close (5‑day cycle) alongside the Controller
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and year‑end procedures
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
• Support fixed asset accounting
• Manage intercompany reconciliations (including US/Canada transactions)
• Take ownership of inventory control and cost accounting
