Manager, ECMO/MCS

Job Summary


Under the direction of the Cardiovascular Services Director and Perfusionist, responsible for developing and coordinating the strategic, clinical, and operational plans and process for the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) program and its specialists. Supervises specialists providing ECMO/MCS services and provides direct patient care to patients receiving mechanical circulatory support. Maintains Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) registry as well as Corewell Health specific registry of all patients to which mechanical circulatory support was provided. Evaluates educational needs in order to develop and provide MCS education programs for patients, significant others, staff and community healthcare professionals. Responsible for maintaining all MCS equipment and coordinating the evaluation process to measure program outcomes.
