Position Summary

Responsible for the management of the Financial Systems Management and Operations within the Department of Finance including operational and program planning, stakeholder relationship management, financial management and people leadership.

Mandate includes responsibility for the leading, implementing and management of the activities of the City’s corporate financial systems including corporate payment, banking, inventorycosting systems, and commodity taxation systems. Responsible for corporate wide adherence to public sector accounting standards (PSAS), other internal/external legislation, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and regulatory compliance and mitigate risk in relation to financial and inventory systems, costing and vendor and cash management.
