Manager Insurance, P&I Claims

Corporate Insurance is responsible for reviewing and analyzing cargo claims and risks with a loss prevention focus. This is efficiently done by collaborating with our operational colleagues as well as external insurers and attorneys.
Handles complex cargo and third party liability claims.
Coordinates with insurers and appointed attorneys and experts.
Reviews the facts and merits of claims and proposes solutions to conclude them.
Actively engages in settlement negotiations.
Monitors and analyzes risks with a view to loss prevention.
Provides legal advice to the organization on insurance, risk and liability matters.
Coordinates assistance and involvement of attorneys representing Hapag-Lloyd in litigations.
Maintains proper documentation of claims files in an organized manner.
Pro-actively maintains files and claim reserves via files management tool.
Other tasks assigned by the department head.
