Manager, Specialty Solutions - Construction

About the role We’re looking for a Manager, Specialty Solutions – Construction to lead a high‑performing team, develop profitable business, and achieve corporate and divisional objectives across the Western, Ontario & Atlantic portfolios.

Responsibilities

Build a strong book of profitable business while auditing policies to ensure adherence to company standards.

Coach underwriters and assist in negotiating with brokers on larger opportunities.

Train brokers and underwriting staff on underwriting matters.

Communicate regularly with key broker contacts on accounts, plans and results.

Collaborate with the Business Development Team to reinforce broker portfolio performance.

Manage employee performance and contribute to the salary review process.

Hold regular team meetings to communicate corporate and branch issues and address employee concerns.
