Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1361-9, MARINE INFORMATION SPECIALIST located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, D8 WATERWAYS MANAGEMENT BRANCH -DPW in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. Responsibilities You will serve as a MARINE INFORMATION SPECIALIST and be responsible for assistance to the Chief, PATON Section, Waterways Management Branch in fulfilling the statutory requirements within the authority of the District Commander to ensure appropriate establishment, maintenance, inspection, discontinuance, change or transfer of ownership of Private Aids to Navigation (PATON). Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Research and interpret Federal Regulations (primarily 33 CFR Parts 66 and 67).
