POSITION SUMMARY

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a shore‑based Marine Tankerman. This position will be based out of the Texas City, TX (Galveston Bay) area and will report to the Marine Tankering Services Supervisor. Tankermen are critical members of the Tankering Services Group, and we are looking for individuals who can contribute to an inclusive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct barge transfers based on MPC’s procedures and all applicable USCG regulations/guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on barges.
• Proficient in all phases of barge transfers, including heater operation on hot oil barges.
