Job Description
The MOB Global Tech Lead (Backend) is responsible for end-to-end technical ownership of backend engineering across Mashreq’s global digital banking squads.
This role ensures that backend systems, APIs, and microservices are robust, secure, scalable, and production-ready, aligned with Mashreq’s digital strategy and regulatory obligations.
The GTL works closely with Product Owners, Chapter Leads, and Principal Engineers, providing technical direction, enforcing engineering standards, and governing backend delivery, releases and incident resolution across multiple countries and squads.

Own backend architecture, microservices, APIs, databases, caching layers (Redis), and DR readiness across MOB global squads
