Position Overview
GM Performance Power Units LLC is seeking a Material Coordinator to support the development of our Formula 1 Power Unit, specifically the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Energy Recovery System (ERS). Based at the GMPPU facility in Concord, this role works closely with the Project Manager to ensure the timely availability and optimal utilization of parts to support build, testing, and race operations.
Acting as the primary interface between Project Management, Warehouse, Assembly, and Supply Chain, the Material Coordinator proactively identifies and resolves component availability issues to maintain the agreed build and test schedules.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the availability of parts to achieve the agreed ICE/ERS build timing and specification.
• Lead component allocation reviews to proactively identify and mitigate shortages.
