Job Description

Summary You will serve as a Materials Engineer Technician in the Naval Research Lab, Offboard Countermeasures Branch of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Responsibilities You will build and test small airborne, surface, and subsurface experimental robotic and autonomous systems for use as offboard countermeasures. You will design and develop new unmanned systems You will fabricate test hardware such as wind tunnel models, test fixtures, and multi-domain autonomous systems test vehicles. You will identify and implement methods of improving designs for prototype fabrication and development. You will support experimental test efforts including wind tunnel testing, flight testing and at-sea testing. You will maintain and upkeep the composite shop, prototyping lab, and test lab to include maintaining cleanliness, tracking and replenishing inventory, supplies, and equipment, and keeping compliance with EEO/Safety and other regulations/policies.
