MBD Engineer - Metrology

**What you will do:**

+ Design and develop fixtures, gauges, and mechanical components, including sub‑assemblies and assemblies, ensuring compliance with MBD and QIF standards while meeting functional, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
+ Create, update, and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and MBD datasets using tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
+ Apply Model‑Based Definition (MBD) practices, including semantic PMI, GD&T, and annotations directly within 3D models.
+ Develop and manage QIF (Quality Information Framework) models to enable seamless downstream inspection, metrology, and digital quality workflows.
+ Ensure accurate translation of design intent from CAD/MBD models to manufacturing and inspection systems.
+ Apply GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5) to produce functionally robust, inspection‑ready designs.
