Job Description

Teach Early Modern Europe as a Course Lecturer at McGill University. This part-time role is ideal for history specialists looking to influence future scholars in a dynamic classroom setting.
The Department of History and Classical Studies is inviting applications for the HIST 214 course in fall 2026. Applicants should possess a PhD or are ABD in Medieval or Early Modern European history. Preference is given to candidates with prior teaching experience. This position is dedicated to in-person instruction in Leacock 219 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct HIST 214 Early Modern Europe
• Deliver lectures and lead discussions
• Evaluate and grade student assignments
• Create relevant course content and materials
• Encourage student engagement and participation
Requirements:
