MDR Supervisor

Job Description

The MDR Supervisor– as an integral part of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department the Supervisor undertakes the day to day supervision and clinical, teaching and staff development responsibilities. This role also includes management of instrumentation required to support patient care. This role requires a current knowledge base regarding best practice and leading edge technology in Medical Device Reprocessing; draws upon contemporary evidence and current PIDAC (Provincial Infections Diseases Advisory Committee), CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and MDRAO (Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario) standards.

The MDR Supervisor acts as a liaison between the operating room, procedures unit and the MDR departments; performing quality responsibilities; playing a leadership role; acting as a role model and resource for the MDR staff.
