Measurement Trainee - Summer 2026

Arctic Instruments specializes in microwave readout solutions for quantum tech developers. Our flagship product is a near-quantum-limited superconducting microwave amplifier designed for high-fidelity qubit readout. The company was founded in late 2024, as a spin-off of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.
As a Measurement Trainee, you work on and improve various aspects of our hardware product characterization in Espoo, Finland. You will assist in setting up hardware and software for microwave measurements. The work is carried out in a laboratory hosting a cryogenic system where our devices are cooled down to a millikelvin temperature. You will prepare and/or operate radio-frequency test and measurement instrumentation to validate the electrical performance of the setup and the superconducting devices.
The ideal candidate:
You have a university background in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
