Mechanical Commissioning Surveillance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Surveillance Engineer to act on behalf of the Charterer during the mechanical completion and commissioning phase of a newbuild FSO project. The role is based full-time at the shipyard and focuses on surveillance, quality assurance, and compliance with project and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise mechanical completion activities for piping, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems
Monitor contractor performance against approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Conduct mechanical completion inspections and verify documentation and dossiers
Participate in walkdowns, punch listing, and acceptance activities
Liaise with shipyard teams, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues
Ensure strict compliance with QHSE requirements
Report progress, deviations, and punch list status to the project team
