Mechanical Design Engineer (GBP30–40K)

We are working with a client seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 4+ years of industry experience, particularly in steel fabrications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) to contribute to impact projects in a dynamic engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design steel fabrications and mechanical systems to meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
• Develop comprehensive manufacturing packs, including material lists and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and optimized for cost and performance.
• Provide ongoing technical support during the manufacturing process.
