Mechanical Design Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering beneficiation plant solutions within the mining and minerals processing sector. This role is design-focused and suited to an engineer with strong exposure to bulk materials handling, plant layout, and welded structural design, with hands-on experience using Autodesk Inventor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment and systems for beneficiation plants, including crushing, screening, conveying, and separation applications


• Produce detailed plant layouts to optimise material flow, equipment placement, and operational efficiency


• Design welded structural components such as chutes, supports, platforms, housings, and equipment frames
