- Design automation equipment, jigs, and special-purpose machines from concept to detailed drawings, based on customer specifications
- Create and review 2D/3D CAD drawings and ensure designs meet safety, strength, and functionality requirements
- Select mechanical components (drive systems, pneumatics, linear motion, structures) and develop cost effective design solutions
- Lead design reviews, resolve technical issues, and ensure drawings are ready for manufacturing, assembly, and installation
- Manage and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOM, and design standards
- Supervise and guide the mechanical design team, including task assignment, progress monitoring, and technical coaching
