Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Location: Bellevue, WA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $37.00 - $74.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Hours: 40.0 hours/week
Responsibilities
+ Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for mechanical and structural systems supporting advanced nuclear reactor projects.
+ Create and review test fixtures, rigs, flow loops, and sub-scale test articles for testing and analysis.
+ Perform tolerance stack-ups, ensure designs meet ASME standards, and conduct trade studies to identify optimal solutions.
+ Support structural, thermal, neutronic, radiological, and safety analyses through model configurations.
+ Maintain configuration control of models and drawings using PDM/PLM systems.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, review design documents, and prepare technical presentations and reports.
