Mechanical Engineer - Design

The role of Mechanical Engineer - Design is to support design Senior Mechanical Engineer and to work as part of a construction design team to ensure the effective completion of the design scope in accordance with the project specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves design review & QAQC of the BIM model content for compliance with the Client's specifications for the specific work areas.

Typical tasks include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure works are carried out safely to industry, site and client specific safety requirements, this includes interpreting Client's specifications and reviewing BIM models against those specifications.
• Review Design Packs, including P&ID, Keyed Notes and identify missing parts within BIM library.
• Analyse supplier catalogue's and select components as per project specifications.
