Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability

Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Serviceability for their Foster City , CA location. Responsibilities:

+ Design For Serviceability

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability).

+ Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components.

+ Identify the need for specialized tooling; guide the special tooling team for design ideation, and development of the tool.

+ Provide comprehensive cost/time modeling that showcases opportunities to drive product change that supports the reduction of cost or complexity of the repair.

+ Work with the technical writing team to establish the repair process.

+ Develop service part release strategy and maintain the Service BOM for spare parts planning.
