Mechanical Fitters

Mechanical Fitters are responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and testing mechanical parts, piping systems, and machinery used in Incat vessels. The role involves working from technical drawings, manufacturing and installing pipework and supports, installing machinery, checking alignment and clearances, and ensuring all work meets engineering, safety, and quality standards.

This role is suited for candidates with shipyard, industrial plant, or heavy mechanical installation experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Perform engineering measurements and material calculations
• Manufacture and install piping systems (forming, fitting, supporting)
• Fabricate and install clamps, brackets, and hangers
• Tack weld steel and aluminum as required for fitting work
