Job Description

Mechanical / Multiskilled Engineering Chargehand Location: St Austell, Cornwall 
Salary: £37,002.70 – £39,459.80 DOE, plus a Chargehand payment of £3,156.05 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.00am – 3.30pm (40 hours per week) 
Contract: Full-time, permanent 
Reporting to: Site Engineer 
About the role We are looking for a Mechanical / Multiskilled Engineering Chargehand to join the maintenance team at Trebal Refinery. This is a hands‑on leadership role, supporting the delivery of safe and effective maintenance across fixed plant and associated systems on site. 
Key responsibilities Plan and carry out planned preventative, routine and reactive maintenance across processing fixed plant 
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and instrumentation faults 
Support breakdown response to minimise downtime and maintain production performance
