Mechanical Technician

The Company

This large and successful food manufacturer in Christchurch has an in‑house Engineering and Maintenance team which supports their Christchurch based plant. This company has a real focus on working to a robust ‘best practice’ engineering and maintenance strategy. This will include a focus and company backing on things like asset care, reliability, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and keeping the plant running as optimally as possible.

Responsibilities

You will report to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. On the mechanical front you will support the daily engineering operational requirements of the plant machinery, as well as breakdowns and preventative maintenance activities.

Hours

You’ll work an average of 40‑hours between Monday and Friday on the following shift pattern. While Saturday work is not scheduled, occasional Saturday work will be required and will be paid at double the hourly rate. 4‑5 we...
