Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, motors). Conduct alignment and balancing of rotating machinery using precision tools (dial indicators, laser alignment systems). Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Support installation and commissioning of new rotating equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and P&IDs. Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and HSE protocols. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance. Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on equipment upgrades and modifications.
