Mechanical Tradesperson - Randstad

Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to ongoing maintenance contracts, we are seeking multiple skilled Mechanical Tradespeople to based in their Newcastle based Workshop.

What’s Involved?

• Overhaul of mechanical underframes from the Rail sector
• Production environment of refurbishing train wheel sets
• Machine Operating - Lathes and Borers
• Strip / assess / rebuild brake systems
• Strip and reassemble wheels & axles
• Remove and re assemble bearings
• Operating a wide range of hand and power tools
• Collaborating as part of a dynamic team

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Light Vehicle Tradespeople or other recognised Mechanical Trades
• Able to work day and afternoon shift
• A great attitude and willingness to learn
• Rail maintenance experience is highly regarded, but not essential
• Forklift ticket is a plus
