Medical Laboratory Technologist

About The Role 

• Perform and supervision of blood collection and dispatch properly labeled specimens to the laboratory in accordance with laboratory protocols and standard universal precautions. 
• Navigate Laboratory Information System to perform functions such as order entry (only if required), sample receipt, result query and result entry. 
• Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders (i.e. Lab, Nursing, Clinicians, admin) to improve workflow and processes of the section. 
• Perform laboratory test or POCT if assigned. Perform all procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols. Alert appropriate personnel of critical values with relevant documentation. 
• Undertake preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and safety equipment. Notify appropriate personnel when these instruments malfunction.

• BSc or equivalent to Medical Laboratory Science
