Overview
The EOC operates throughout the canton, providing a total of 1,000 beds. It offers comprehensive, local hospital services for its population and serves over 41,000 inpatients per year and more than 600,000 outpatient consultations. The Institute for Integrated Diagnostics of Italian-speaking Switzerland (IDISI) groups the clinics of radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, and laboratory medicine, performing nearly 4 million examinations and analyses annually. IDISI promotes a multidisciplinary approach to create efficient, personalized diagnostic and therapeutic pathways and supports university teaching and biomedical research.
