Medical Records Specialist

We are hiring a
Medical Records Specialist – Release of Information (ROI)
to manage the secure, compliant intake and release of medical records in a regulated healthcare environment.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who treats accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance as non-negotiable. You will handle sensitive records, validate legal authorizations, coordinate provider approvals, and ensure every disclosure meets federal and state requirements.

This is
not
a clerical role. It requires judgment, discipline, and deep familiarity with HIPAA and heightened confidentiality standards.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Intake & Tracking

• Receive, log, and track medical records requests via email, patient portals, secure fax, mail, subpoenas, court orders, payer, and Medicare requests
• Acknowledge requests using approved templates and provide clear status updates
