Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing)

Summary This position is located within the Sterile processing service at the Martinsburg WV,VA Medical Center. The purpose of these positions is to provide wards, clinics, operating room, dental services, and other hospital facilities with sterile and HLD critical and semi-critical RMD, including instruments, instrument sets, ultrasound transducers, flexible endoscopes, and equipment. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties may include but are not limited to; Responsible for re-processing critical and semi-critical RMD by disassembling, cleaning, decontaminating, sterilization, HLD, and storage within SPS. Adheres to standard operating procedures (SOP) based on the manufacturer's instructions for use (mIFU) per individual item. Identifies and communicates non-conforming RMD to SPS leadership.
