Summary The incumbent serves as Medical Technician in the Phlebotomy Department in the Pathology and Laboratory Service at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Responsibilities ***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Performs a range of diagnostic laboratory support duties such as collection and labeling of specimens for the laboratory. Performs routine repetitive diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture for collection of blood specimens and collections/acceptance of other body fluids such as urine or sputum. Uses proper sterile techniques for collection of samples.
