ME/EE Design and Development of Automated Med Device Co-Op

Overview

Summary:

The chosen candidate will be assigned within a multi-discipline team with tasks to assist in the design and development of new automated medical diagnostic instruments. Responsibilities include designing, prototyping and troubleshooting clever solutions towards next generation and on market products. Candidates will gain experience with both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. On the mechanical side, candidates will be asked to create detailed drawings for their solutions using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) methodologies. Proposed designs will be presented to an engineering team allowing candidates to experience design reviews and grow through design iterations. On the Electrical side, candidates will review schematics, rework PCBs, and gain valuable lab experience.
