Job Description

About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant at Te Puna Wai Kātea you will work closely with registered nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation to our patients. You will assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation programmes and carry out housekeeping tasks to keep the unit clean, tidy and safe for patient mobilisation.

Qualifications

  • Well established mental state and risk assessment skills
  • Recent hospital healthcare experience, ideally in mental health
  • Level 3 qualification
  • Team focused
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Motivation and commitment to self‑directed learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
